Vermillion
September 17, 2010
Soar through vermillion skies
What is a nature without destruction
There are heavy clouds ahead
And the lightning illuminates my soul
Blasphemy is unknown to animals
Did we create it like all else
Heaven must be part of our dream
Our fantasy to be a creature without flaw
Repentance becomes our sacrificial heart
And we betray ourselves from the beginning
To create life is to create a web
And to trap the fly is to destroy life
Do the eyes of a panther judge its prey
Only for speed and taste
But it only remembers survival
And in the jungle, I can say I am home.
